Holiday in Donegal

At the end of August/beginning of September we went on a five day vacation to county Donegal. We had always wanted to go there, but since the drive is about five hours away, we just had never made it before. We are glad we finally did as we had a wonderful time.

We rented a holiday home on Air B&B that was a garage before and the family converted it into a little vacation spot. It had a small kitchen, little dining and living room area, bathroom and two bedrooms (although we all ended up staying in one room!). It was nice and neat and wonderful. Plus there was a trampoline outside that ended up being Elisha's favorite part of our holiday.

Some of the fun things we did was to drive up to Malin Head which is the uppermost tip of Ireland. It was beautiful. We also went to a wildfowl reserve and Alisa was able to gain a few more birds for her "Big Year".  Another day we went to Glenveagh National Park where there are mountains, lakes, trails and a castle (in which Elisha was tired of riding his bike and said "Thank You Jesus!" when we got the bus back to our car). We also visited Derry in Northern Ireland and walked the city walls. Stephen and I celebrated our ninth anniversary while we were up there as well. It was a wonderful way to celebrate how God has been so good to us.

We are very thankful for this relaxing time away where we were able to make lots of memories together as a family.
