Visiting Havasu Christian Church

Since we were finally making it out to Arizona again, we had to visit our sending church, Havasu Christian Church. That first Sunday we were there they were having church in a local park. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy the nice weather as it was not too hot. Stephen had the opportunity to preach and spoke about the Israelite's grumbling against Moses and against God. God sent serpents to bite them, and when the Israelites cried out, God instructed Moses to set up the bronze serpent for the Israelites to look at and to be healed. We like to think of ourselves more like Moses, but most of us are like the Israelites, always grumbling. Thankfully, we have Jesus to look at, to heal us from our sins. After church, they had a potluck lunch at the park. It was nice to be able to sit and chat with everyone.

That evening Stephen presented about our work in Ireland. We are so thankful for all of the support and love that Havasu Christian Church sends us.
