Our Glory and Joy...

We did it, we finally moved. This was always the goal. We would be in Drogheda for a short time in order to settle into Ireland and most of all into ministry in Ireland. However it was bittersweet as all of our ministries in Drogheda came to an end. On one hand it is great to finally be doing what we came to Ireland to do, plant a church. And on the other hand it is sad to leave all of the people that we have come to love. Leaving behind a great church and ministry is really hard to do. Yet it is also really amazing to reflect on all of the things God has accomplished in the time he gave you there. As I have now left two churches we were actively involved in I am reminded of what Paul said to the Thessalonians.

"For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you? For you are our glory and joy." 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

As I reflect on the growth I have seen from the children in our Children's club, the life change I have seen in our youth, and the maturity in the members of our Bible study I feel the same way Paul must have as he wrote this. It is not us who has changed anyone but God who has been at work through his Holy Spirit. I am so thankful that God has chosen to use Alisa and I to grow his church. While I am emotional thinking about what has been I am also excited to continue to see God at work changing lives. Telling people about Jesus truly is the greatest and most rewarding thing we can do!

I will leave you with a video of our last night of Youth club. We had an "awards ceremony" we called the Prezbee Awards.

For those of you worried about the dancing at the end it was a Ceili dance, it's like a square dance only better.
