One Year Ago
One year ago, yesterday, I quit my job at the bank and started raising support with my wonderful husband to go to Ireland.
It's been a long year.
I've learned a lot.
We've both grown a lot.
God has provided and continued to lead us over and over again.
And I want to get to Ireland even more than before.

Oh Alisa you should give me advice! Josh and I have been talking about when I'll leave my job to help him in support raising. Our target date is next June - which will be here before we know it!
ReplyDeletewhen do yall actually leave for ireland?
ReplyDeleteMeghan- Sure! I would love to talk to you about what I've learned. I feel like it has been a long year for us, and yet a year isn't that long at all. Are we friends on facebook???
ReplyDeleteKayla-We are hoping to leave at the end of August. The church that we are helping with for the first year wants us there by then. We are currently at 65% of our monthly support raising. Our start-up costs are ALMOST basically raised, by the time August gets here we will be 100% on those. Our organization does not want us buying plane tickets until we have 80% of our monthly support coming in, so it might be a little while still. I hope not though. We have several churches lined up next month that we are going to talk to, so hopefully something will work out then!
We are so excited for you guys.
ReplyDeleteCool! We will be praying that many indivuals want to partner with you monthly so you can leave by August!
